PHA peels, also no-peel peels are the latest advancement in superficial chemical peels. PHA's (polyhydroxy acids) are just as effective as AHA's and BHA's, however they cause less irritation compared to other acids, and have been found to be compatible with clinically sensitive skin, including dermatitis and rosacea.

PHA's have the ability to prevent loss of moisture in the skin and offer both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. The ekseption line of peels can accommodate all skin types and a wide of variety of skin conditions.

 

All about Chemical peels

The aim of chemical peels.
A chemical peel entails the application of exfoliating chemicals to the skin, resulting in stimulation of the epidermal and dermal structures. Regenerative mechanisms are set in motion, the aim being to cause an improvement in the structure, and importantly, the appearance of the skin.

Based on polyhydroxy acids : Lactobionic acid and gluconolactone
Our peels are using a new generation of acids. Polyhydroxy acids are less irritating, they provide comfort upon application (no burning sensation) and better results compared to AHA's.

The hyaluronic acid provides our peelings with a gel texture for an easier application, a more controlled peel and a high moisturising effect. The peptides are infused into the skin together with the acids to reduce wrinkles, ageing and pigmentation.

The acids we use are non photosensitising and can be used all year long when combined with the all day shield sun protection and the correct moisturiser within the range. The peelings are highly concentrated in acids with a pH between 2-3.5 to cover all skin types and indications. Ekseption peels are the safest and show a very limited risk of hyperpigmentation.

State of the art formulations
Our peelings do not contain preservatives, ammonium hydroxide, tromethamine or other harmful buffers. The pH is stabilized with sodium lactate, a component of a natural moisturising factor with keratolytic functions.

Skin Resurfacing Programme

Ekseption peels are based on PHA's, a synergy of different acids, Hyaluronic acid and peptides.

Treatment Plan.
Appropriate skin peels and Homecare products are decided.

Activation stage (2-3 weeks).
Skin pH is adjusted to around 4.5 to reduce melanocytes activity, to prepare the skin for the acids and prevent side effects such as irritation and hyper-pigmentation.

Photo-protection.
The skin is protected from UV damage and free radicals.

First Peeling.
Skin reaction is assessed and the first repair stage starts.

7 Day repair period.
Relevant repair cream is used along with all-day shield SPF50+ for daily protection against UV damage.

Consecutive peelings.
Deeper layers of the skin are reached gradually in a safe and controlled process over multiple procedures.

Remodelling phase (6 weeks).
The same homecare routine is maintained for post peel care. Additionally, a nourishing caviar treatment is available to balance the skin and accelerate results.

Anytime-anywhere.
