The short answer is no. Modern lasers are incredibly safe machines, but there is a lack of studies and evidence on the effect of laser treatment in pregnancies. We follow a strict policy of not offering any treatment during pregnancy. Permanent skin pigmentation is also an increased risk during pregnancy due to hormonal fluctuations.

In the past years, darker skin types were not easy to treat due to lasers targeting the pigment to destroy the hair follicle, posing an increased risk of damaging the surrounding tissue in darker skin. However, the new laser machines, like our Diode, can target the hair follicle pigment and remove the hair from the root safely without damaging the surrounding skin.

Depending on your hair and skin type and the area being treated, you will usually require treatments at 4-6 week intervals. Each part of the body has a different hair growth cycle, so the hair loss will vary depending on what phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment.

No, unfortunately, we cannot treat over tattoos with our laser. We can treat around the tattooed areas with a gap of 3cm.

Temporary side effects may include: redness, itchy skin, mild follicle swelling, irritation on treatment areas. All of which are normal post Laser Hair Removal treatment. It is important to follow the correct prep and aftercare to receive maximum results with minimal side effects to the treatment.

For 24 -48 hours after the treatment, please avoid excessive sweating, hot showers, shaving, swimming etc. You will need to ensure all treatment areas are not exposed to direct sunlight for 14 days and apply SPF liberally every day, We will supply you with an aftercare leaflet.

Certain medications and over the counter vitamin, minerals  can cause photo-sensitivity to the skin and this may affect the skin's reaction to the treatment. These medications are, but not limited, to oral and topical vitamin A's, antibiotics, and certain anti-depressants.

Unfortunately, we can not treat blonde, grey/white and some types of red hair with our Laser Hair Removal treatment. The light of the laser is only attracted to the melanin (pigment) of the hair hence these hair colours cannot be treated.

Epilepsy sufferers are advised to consult with their doctor about having Laser Hair Removal. An individual will need to obtain medical clearance from their doctor prior to starting treatment. We also offer various options of protective eyewear to ensure your safety at all times during treatment.

Yes. This would only impact you if you’re having your bikini treated as it has no impact on the treatment itself.

The question is, are you comfortable being treated during your period? Your practitioner will not mind at all and they do treat intimate areas on many clients during their period; so, if you’re happy to have treatment, then we’re more than happy to treat. You practitioner would simply ask you to use internal sanitary products such as tampons so that, practically, they can treat you.

If you’re uncomfortable with the idea, that’s also not a problem. You would simply time your appointment sessions around when you expect your period to fall.

Yes, you can certainly do that. It's actually a helpful way to track the progress of changes you observe; after a few sessions, you might find that you need to shave less frequently before each laser appointment.

While you can still see hair, we recommend shaving before your session, ideally the night before to allow your skin time to recover from the shave.

Between sessions, we advise using shaving or trimming as the only hair removal method. It is crucial for the success of your treatments that you avoid waxing, plucking, or pulling out the hairs in any manner, as the laser needs the hair to target the right areas effectively.
