• No training materials will be provided: You will complete the written assignments, 3 observations and submit a further 3 case studies

Learner Entry Requirements: Learners must have previously completed and achieved an anatomy and physiology qualification at a minimum of Level 4,with a core knowledge of facial anatomy and experience of investigative experience of investigative consultations

Course aims: The Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Micropigmentation is aimed at those learners who are experienced beauty therapists and looking to add a specialism in their portfolio of skills.  The purpose of the Certificate aims to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to prepare and provide safely micropigmentation treatment

Qualification Structure: In order to successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling Treatment, learners must complete the unit below to achieve a total of 14 credits

This course covers:  Understanding, planning and providing skin needling treatments

Course Structure:  This qualification is internally assessed.  Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

All the theory will be completed at home after which you will need to attend one day practical training, working on models.  You will then need to complete 3 observations (which can be done face to face or via Zoom)

Observations need to cover:

• Treatment areas: Stretchmark improvement, Skin laxity improvement, Skin condition improvement, Skin texture improvement, Fine line reduction
• Four of the following areas: Face, Neck, Chest, Back of hands, Legs, Abdomen
• Equipment: 0.5mm needle (face), 1mm needle (body), Manual needling device (stamp, pen, roller), Automated needling device

Once the observations have been completed, you will need to produce 3 case studies

You will need access to a computer and Word (or equivalent).

Kit: You will need the following products/kit:

• Manual needling device  (stamp, pen, roller)
• Automated needling device and needles
• Meso Solution (optional)
• Cleanser
• Toner
• Skin disinfectant
• Moisturiser
• SPF
