Meet our Director – Fiona Chester-Lawson!

Fiona Chester-Lawson has over 30 years experience in the beauty and aesthetics industry, Fiona was the Winner of Elite salon of the year 2006. She works full time as Clinical Director, Advanced Electrolygist, Skincare, Laser and Aesthetics practitioner.

Fiona wanted to train as a hairdresser originally and secured an Apprenticeship but felt this wasn’t a career path she wanted for herself. So she looked into beauty and instantly knew this was what she wanted to do especially the Electrolysis side of the profession. She had experienced PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) first hand as her best friend growing up struggled with devastating facial hair.

She completed the course and started working at a clinic in Sheffield, she eventually took over the business and won ‘Elite Clinic of the year’, which was a very proud moment! Gaining recognition, she was approached by a consultant at Rotherham General Hospital and asked to join the clinic and offer Electrolysis for her PCOS patients. This was such a rewarding role for Fiona and fast forward 20 plus years she is still running PCOS Clinics!

Today, Fiona is celebrating 14 years at Pure Aesthetics Clinic. She is happily married with 2 children, Henry 23, an engineer, Molly 18, studying Law at university, and also stepmom to Josh and Cameron.

Of course a family is not complete without a dog and their Bulldog, Ava fits right in!

Fiona is a qualified Assessor and Lecturer which gives her the passion to constantly innovate and improve the client experience, broadening her and her team’s knowledge with advanced courses.

She is MASCED Pro Accredited on how to identify suspicious lesions to detect the early signs of skin cancer and advise clients to take action; she has already sent 2 clients who have had suspicious lesion removed.

She is so passionate about her work that she has trained in treating Gender Dysphoria clients for removal of facial hair and excess body hair as part of their journey.

When she is not researching new and exciting treatments she can be found taking Ava for long walks into the countryside which she can enjoy with the whole family.
